The Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre (VCCC) Project is delivering a new $1 Billion purpose-built facility for cancer research, treatment, care and education in the Melbourne suburb of Parkville, Victoria.
KPD is working closely with the project lab design team to deliver the facility including PC2 complainant cantilevered laboratory bench systems and lab services reticulation management.
The facility features KPD's SLS (Suspended Laboratory Services) System and the PC3 compliant ARS30 reagent shelving systems throughout. KPD are also supplying laboratory furniture items including Lab storage units and lab benching generally.
The project will provide a brand new home for the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre and new cancer research and clinical services for Melbourne Health (including the Royal Melbourne Hospital) and new cancer research and education facilities for The University of Melbourne.
Special benches are required for equal opportunity, adjustable to 800 high for wheelchair access.
These benches are also used for supporting large equipment at lower levels for access to the top by staff. Balance bench frame and top are separate for easy relocation.
Benches can be fixed to the wall or supported on a back leg (shown in broken line)
Overbench storage can be either open shelf modules or cupboards, either solid or glass doors.
Sliding doors are not recommended for safety reasons.
